SECOND SIGHT PSYCHIATRIC CARE
The grassroots rebellion against medical dismissal
I offer evidence-based rebellion against the systemic dismissal of the female experience, specifically tailored for women and neurodivergent thinkers who may lack the language for their struggle and may have been told that their symptoms were “just stress” or “normal for a woman.”

HI! I'M LISA HARDY, APRN,PMHNP-BC, CNM
It all started with my own story...
My path to this work was distilled through years of lived experience, essentially being invisible as a patient in the medical system. I lived with undiagnosed PMDD through my entire reproductive life, and I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until I was 54.
As a result, I believed for decades that my body had failed, that I was a bad parent, and that I had "character flaws"-only to find out that what I was experiencing were actually biological symptoms that could be healed and that much of my suffering could have been avoided with proper diagnosis and treatment.
it doesnt have to be this way
As a Gen X-er who grew up on 80s grit and a healthy dose of Madonna...
I value directness and authenticity. I’m not here to hide behind jargon or clinical walls. I’m here to offer compassion, a clinical rationale, and the validation you’ve been looking for, so you can finally take back control of your life.

Beyond the clinic
who I am

Outside of the office, you may find me starting my day with a pen and a daily journal-I like to map my own mind before I help you map yours. My parents were both first-generation college graduates who encouraged my own education and instilled in me a lifelong love of learning and the passion to never give up.

In my free time, I enjoy camping and the silence of the woods, experimenting with the complexities of essential oils and herbal medicine, and even in planting my English flower garden in the Summer months (and planning it in the winter ones).

I grew up in a family that was both musical and spiritual, which makes me both a lover of old jazz and folk as well as a “seeker”-- that my spiritual interests range from Buddhism to the Supernatural. I am the kind of person who is always looking for answers–and I don’t give up easily.

I am also an unrepentant foodie: life is too short for blah food or a mediocre cup of coffee. And for a bit of contrast to the high-stakes world of psychiatry, my favorite dog is the Tibetan Spaniel.

THE WOMAN BEHIND THE ADMIN
Meet Kacy, Virtual Medical Assistant
I am a registered nurse and a mother of three who transitioned as a medical virtual assistant. I am passionate about maintaining a meaningful role in the healthcare field while still prioritizing presence and time with my family.
